The feeling project - touch
Language: English
How to avoid becoming a mere digital extension?
By exploring the sense of touch, levels of proximity and body weight, Fernando Cabral is interested in experimenting with different ways of experiencing the materiality of the body in this project.
For this first performance, he has invited Marcela Reichelt to explore together the sense of touch.
Asking for permission to touch.
Placing hands on the surface of the other body and making space for sensory feedback.
Searching for new approaches and formats in dance, „The feeling project“ is a series of performances which engages with the sensory and political issues of touch.
Marcela and Fernando worked together for several years as dancers in Brazil and are reuniting after 20 years.

Fernando has presented his work at Tanzhaus Zürich, Nuit Blanche Paris, Rumos Itaù Cultural Dança - Sao Paulo, Festival de Sévelin - Lausanne, Palais de Tokyo - Paris, Festival Artdanthé - Paris, Lieu Unique - Nantes, Carreau du Temple - Paris, Centre d'Art Bétonsalon - Paris, Micadanses - Paris.
