The Acker Stadt Palast wants to show everything: From 26 to 28 March, at the Walk on AiR Festival 2026, the artists in residence will open their rehearsal stages, idea labs and stage utopias. 2025 was a year of upheaval and change for us.

The new concept envisages fewer guest performances and more artists who are closely connected to the theatre. For a year, attempts were made to restructure the theatre's operations. Artists manage their own rehearsal and performance times, meet, collaborate and research. It is a process that is worth the risk and will continue to flourish in 2026. That's why the motto for Acker Stadt Palast and its artists in residence is: walk on!

The Walk on AiR Festival features performances, sketches, experiments and previews of what will continue to grow at Acker Stadt Palast in 2026. It is a festival full of energy, personal expression and artistic freedom. And a lively attempt to create art in difficult times.
