Transit Stage

This mockumentary follows the journey of three young female political refugees from Belarus who happen to meet on a beach in Gdansk. They agree to gather regularly by the sea, where they share their experiences and humorous anecdotes about life in exile: from navigating language barriers and traveling, to their efforts to connect with locals and the challenge of integrating into a new home. Along the way, they explore deeper questions, such as, “What does ‘home’ truly mean?” and much more. Yet, as they attempt to rebuild their lives, the "backpack of their old life" remains heavy, making it difficult to fully move on.

Can time truly be reset? Is the past an enemy or an ally? Together, we will search for answers to these questions.
