re-move

The piece re-move is clearly influenced by the actual pandemic situation and its consequences. It is a report about the subject through Cie. Kinoun’s eyes.

This struggling time brought us to reflect about human needs such as freedom and physical contact. It brought us to reflect about imposted changes due to exterior events which can’t be controlled but only accepted with a spirit of adaptation: how we are facing ourselves and the society’s system while we are dealing with restrictions and many new regulations? „re-move“ relates to the word „remove“, meaning to take off, clean away, letting go of what is not needed anymore and then being able to move again, to go on, transformed, as new.

The performance is structured in three parts, two duets and a solo.

„Exodus“ is the first duett and it refers to the possibility of being able to move again freely after a time of strong physical restriction and isolation.
"May I have your attention, please?“ is the second duet in which a man, representing the system, and a woman, representing society, deal with privacy, manipulation and personal freedom. "Before the beginning“ is the ending part, a solo in which a man has to face an important decision concerning his private items: he needs to "remove”, to clean away, what is not necessary anymore. What should he keep? Or let go?
