Acker Stadt Palast turns an incredible 10 years!

3,650 days of exploring, speaking, understanding, tasting, deepening, inspiring, imagining. Performances, contemporary dance, new music and other movements crossed the stage. They drove countless beads of sweat on the forehead and skin of this palace of the back yards. Made the artistic terrain in the center of the capital sparkle, gave it glitz and glory.

We celebrate this great adventure over ten days in December 2022 with a festival, dedicated to the public. Because since the pandemic at the latest, we have realized: Without real encounters with YOU, the audience, even the hardest work simply makes no sense!

To this end, we have invited very special artists of different generations, regions, disciplines and aesthetics to the Público Festival in order to involve you, dearest anniversary guests, with all senses, in all possible and impossible ways.

The result is a dazzling program, presenting
an immersive installation with VR headsets
a course that travels through the stomach
a real-time composition that turns the audience into choir and conductors
a show that challenges the audience as a temporary community
the #share Interferenz series with 6 new duos, each consisting of a dancer and a musician and many more surprising tricks of seduction.

Why? Because we aim to strengthen the connection between art, audience and this storied space in and for the future and fire the linking, rubbing, bouncing, and cross-pollination of ideas with and through art. And with our joined efforts, we’ll be celebrating the diverse forms of participation and exchange. Together with YOU.
