PASSACAGLIA / Laura Stefanidis

PASSACAGLIA means "crossing the street". Tragic-comic, poetic-picturesque and realistic-dreamy stories of human diversity are revealed.

A coat is the protagonist of the scene. Countless people have inhabited it; they come and go, reappear and disappear forever. The coat is the costume and the protagonist in one: the thread that carries all these lives and sets them in motion with poetry, gestures and colourful landscapes. The coat knows them to the core.

PASSACAGLIA is an invitation to be taken into the inner worlds of the passers-by who walk the street beside us. A flowing transformative painting of diverse longings, fears and dreams, a gentle and unsparing examination of all that we hide in our lives - as if under a coat.
