fluid life - Interdisciplinary performance

Eine Interdisziplinäre Peformance aus Tanz, Akrobatik, Worten und Zucker

Languages: German, English, French.

"The performance questions our modern way of communication and how we witness time. We are living for the outside, permanently the representation of our own selves and trying to preserve our favourite moments on photos and videos. But are we really living these moments while we search to retain them? What value has a picture if it is merely our self-designed image? And what is time if we consciously only live from one moment to the other (no matter if good or bad), always in the now, with no sense of past nor future. Nothing seems to be solid anymore. Everything is changeable, temporary, fluid…"

Fluid life shows how we feed our ego with sugar, for immediate happiness, making us feel high on the moment but empty and unsatisfied afterwards. As with social media, it is addictive because we let ourselves be entertained and controlled at the same time. This phenomenon could be defined as a trap we happily and willingly fall into. The ongoing question of nourishment (whether food for the brain or other) is translated into a physical language of metaphorical imagery.
